Online Volunteer Information Session
We are holding an online volunteer information session for anyone interested in finding out more. Recruitment is open right across Northern Ireland.
Angel Eyes NI delivers accessible events across Northern Ireland, including arts and crafts, music, dance, sports, family activities and social opportunities for children, young people and their siblings.
Our volunteers play a vital role in making these events possible. Volunteers help children take part in activities, encourage communication and confidence, support social interaction and create a fun, welcoming environment where every child is included.
You do not need previous experience. We are looking for people who are friendly, reliable, patient and interested in supporting children and families.
Volunteers may help with:
• Supporting children during clubs and events
• Encouraging children to join in activities
• Interacting, chatting and playing with children
• Helping set up activities
• Helping clear away after events
• Supporting families to feel welcome
Volunteer Requirements
Volunteers must:
• Be aged 16 or over
• Be available for occasional weekend events
• Usually volunteer for 2–3 hour blocks
• Be willing to complete training and follow Angel Eyes NI guidance
Most volunteers support around one event per month, but this can be flexible.
Volunteer Support
All volunteers will receive:
• Vision impairment awareness training
• Ongoing support from the Angel Eyes NI team
• Travel expenses reimbursed
• An Angel Eyes NI volunteer t-shirt or hoodie
• The chance to be part of a friendly andsupportive team
